Southern Kenton County Citizens Focus Group
Another innovative approach implemented in Direction 2030 was the incorporation of focus groups. This group in the more rural southern portion of the county formed as a result of one of the plan's earlier public meetings. The group still meets today to work on implementing the plan.
STEP UP - Student Education & Participation in Urban Planning
Direction 2030 recognized early on that hearing from today's youth, tomorrow's leaders, was important for planning for the future. Here students participate in a mock planning commission hearing, acting as the commission and rendering a decision.
