Draft Changes Considered by the Kenton County Fiscal Court on February 25
The draft changes listed above represent the culmination of over a year’s worth of research, Project Team review, Focus Group consultation, public involvement, and revision after two rounds of public input. These draft changes were considered by the Kenton County Fiscal Court at their February 25, 2020 meeting. The meeting began at 5:30 p.m. in the Kenton Chambers of the County Administration Building, located at:

February 4, 2020 Piner Public Presentation
A presentation of DRAFT Recommended Land Use changes applicable to Unincorporated Kenton County took place on February 4, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Piner, KY. The PDF of the presentation can be found here. Questions asked in the small group discussions are available here.

Please note, the deadline for additional is 12:00 p.m. on February 19, 2020 for formal consideration by the Fiscal Court.
Please note, while no residential changes are recommended for this round of updates, a zoning study following action on this comprehensive plan amendment is recommended. This zoning study would address concerns regarding changes in the area that are happening incrementally in the form of individual housing construction. The zoning study would be an additional avenue for public participation in the future of the area. Please refer back to this website for future information pertaining to this residential zoning study.
July 22, 2019 Piner Public Open House Stations
A public open house was held on July 22, 2019 at Piner Baptist Church in Piner, KY. The meeting provided an opportunity for the public to attend and learn more about the existing conditions and trends in the area. The meeting also gave attendees an opportunity to discuss information with staff and provide feedback via comments on boards at each station. This information and the collected will be used by staff as the project enters the planning phase.
