Web-based plan to be presented at upcoming National Planning Conference

James Fausz, AICP, Principal Planner for PDS, will be presenting at the National Planning Conference in Seattle, WA on the Direction 2030 online plan. He will be part of a team presentation that details digital planning documents, which also includes Justin Goodwin from MKSK in Columbus, OH and Emi Randall from the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) in Cincinnati. The group will focus on the different approaches of their respective planning efforts and some of the lessons learned throughout their projects.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to present our Direction 2030 digital plan to an audience of planners from around America,” Fausz said. “We learned a lot through crafting our digital plan and I think our experiences will be helpful to others that might be interested in setting up their own online plans. Not only that, the presentation provides a great opportunity to present planning from our region,” he continued.

The group is currently working on putting the finishing touches on their presentation. Their anticipated program includes how their plans originated, technical aspects of how the websites were created, live demos of the websites and interactive maps, and time for questions from the audience. Be sure to watch for a post-presentation update soon.
